Over the period of its application, this measure should enable the sector in the Azores to continue being restructured without interfering with the milk market and without appreciably affecting the sound working of the levy scheme at the Portuguese or Community level.

The Executive Committee refers to the notification by the Provisional Joint Supervisory Authority for data protection that the Contracting Parties which have successfully completed the tests satisfy the data protection conditions required for the putting into operation of the SIS.

The Commission shall examine whether the agreements guarantee an adequate level of protection, in particular as regards the requirements of paragraph 2 of the abovementioned SOLAS regulation 11, and whether they conform with Community law and are in accordance with the proper functioning of the internal market.
