The Agreements in the form of an Exchange of Letters between the European Community and, on the one hand, Barbados, Belize, the Republic of Congo, Fiji, the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Jamaica, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Madagascar, the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Surinam, Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Kingdom of Swaziland, the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Zambia, the Republic of Zimbabwe and, on the other hand, the Republic of India on the supply of raw cane sugar to be refined are hereby approved on behalf of the Community.

Whereas those discussions have resulted in an Agreement in the form of an exchange of letters; whereas it is in the interest of the Community to approve the said Agreement,

The Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters negotiated between the European Community and the Kingdom of Morocco should be approved,

Article 5 of the Agreement between the European Community and the People's Republic of China on trade in textile products, initialled on 9 December 1988 and approved by Council Decision 90/647/EEC ( fn ), as last amended and extended by an Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters, initialled on 19 May 2000 and approved by Council Decision 2000/787/EC ( fn ), and Article 8 of the Agreement between the European Community and the People's Republic of China on trade in textile products not covered by the MFA bilateral agreement, initialled on 19 January 1995 and approved by Council Decision 95/155/EC ( fn ), as last amended by an Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters, initialled on 19 May 2000 and approved by Council Decision 2000/787/EC, provides that transfers may be made between quota years.

The Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters which provides for the provisional application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Republic of South Africa on trade in spirits as from 28 January 2002 is hereby approved on behalf of the Community.

The Agreement in the form of an exchange of letters between the European Community and the Republic of Chile on imports of apples and pears into the Community is hereby approved on behalf of the Community.

The Community vote regarding a proposed amendment to the Parallel Agreement should be determined in accordance with the procedure followed in order to approve that Agreement; with regard to the expression of an objection to an amendment to the Parallel Agreement after a consensus vote in favour of the amendment, taking account of the time constrains laid down in that Agreement, the Community position may be decided upon by the Commission in a less complex procedure.

This Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the second month following the date on which all the States referred to in this Article and the European Economic Community sign without reservation as to ratification, acceptance or approval or deposit an instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval.

Whereas the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Tunisia, of the other part, signed in Brussels on 17 July 1995, should be approved,

The framework agreement shall specify the common objectives, the nature of actions planned on a one-off basis or as part of an approved annual work programme, the procedure for awarding specific grants, in compliance with the principles and procedural rules in this Title, and the general rights and obligations of each party under the specific agreements.

The Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Tunisia, of the other part, the Protocols annexed thereto and the declarations attached to the Final Act are hereby approved on behalf of the European Community and the European Coal and Steel Community.

approving the exchange of letters between the European Community and the Republic of Bulgaria amending the Interim Agreement on trade and trade-related matters between the European Economic Community and the European Coal and Steel Community, of the one part, and the Republic of Bulgaria, of the other part, and the Europe Agreement establishing an association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Bulgaria, of the other part, both by the Additional Protocol signed on 21 December 1993
