In particular, with a view to its elimination, policies will aim to achieve by 2010 a substantial reduction in the gender pay gap in each Member State, through a multi-faceted approach addressing the underlying factors of the gender pay gap, including sectoral and occupational segregation, education and training, job classifications and pay systems, awareness-raising and transparency.
Ukrepi bodo do leta 2010 zlasti usmerjeni k znatnemu zmanjšanju razlik v plačah med spoloma v vsaki državi članici; kar naj bi dosegli prek večdimenzionalnega pristopa do odpravljanja temeljnih povzročiteljev razlik v plačah med spoloma, vključno s sektorsko in poklicno segregacijo, z izobraževanjem in usposabljanjem, z razvrščanjem delovnih mest in s plačnimi sistemi ter z ozaveščanjem in preglednostjo.
