.2 permit rapid identification of vessels which might be called upon to provide assistance;

7.1 For the purpose of the implementation of article 9 of the Treaty, the Parties establish a mutually accessible technical entry to their ` automated fingerprint identification systems` (called hereafter ` AFIS` ).

The calling DTE should comply to ITU-T Recommendation X.32 [Reference 17] by including caller identification and for authentication information.

'(e) In cases where Member States make use of the option provided for in the third indent of point (a) to refrain from allocating a number as referred to in paragraph l(c) to taxable persons who do not carry out any of the transactions referred to in paragraph 4(c), and where the supplier or the customer have not been allocated an identification number of this type, the invoice should feature instead another number called the tax reference number, as defined by the Member States concerned.

Where presentation of calling-line identification is offered, the called user shall have the possibility via a simple means, free of charge, to prevent the presentation of the calling-line identification of incoming calls.

Where presentation of connected-line identification is offered, the called user shall have the possibility via a simple means, free of charge, to eliminate the presentation of the connected-line identification to the calling user.

Where presentation of connected line identification is offered, the service provider must offer the called subscriber the possibility, using a simple means and free of charge, of preventing the presentation of the connected line identification to the calling user.

It is necessary, as regards calling line identification, to protect the right of the calling party to withhold the presentation of the identification of the line from which the call is being made and the right of the called party to reject calls from unidentified lines.

It is necessary, as regards connected line identification, to protect the right and the legitimate interest of the called party to withhold the presentation of the identification of the line to which the calling party is actually connected, in particular in the case of forwarded calls.

Where presentation of calling line identification is offered and where the calling line identification is presented prior to the call being established, the service provider must offer the called subscriber the possibility, using a simple means, of rejecting incoming calls where the presentation of the calling line identification has been prevented by the calling user or subscriber.

Where presentation of calling line identification is offered, the service provider must offer the called subscriber the possibility, using a simple means and free of charge for reasonable use of this function, of preventing the presentation of the calling line identification of incoming calls.

PRIOR TO THE TEST, THE INSPECTING BODY (HEREINAFTER CALLED " THE BODY ") SHALL RECORD ALL NECESSARY DATA FOR IDENTIFICATION OF THE GENERATOR, AND AT LEAST THE GENERATOR'S FEATURES OR SPECIFICATIONS AS STATED FOR EXAMPLE ON THE DATA PLATE AND/OR IN THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION GIVEN TO THE USER WITH REGARD TO MANUFACTURER, MAKE, YEAR OF MANUFACTURE AND HEAT RATING.
