The Executive Committee shall take the necessary decisions on the practical procedures for carrying out border checks and surveillance.

The Contracting Parties undertake to deploy enough suitably qualified officers to carry out checks and surveillance along external borders.

For the purposes of checks on certain uses or destinations, an international surveillance firm may be used to verify whether the contract awarded is duly fulfilled.

The Contracting Parties shall assist each other and shall maintain constant, close cooperation with a view to the effective implementation of checks and surveillance.
