If, on the one hand, the newspresenter is an honest and good man/woman who 'works for us', a watchdog, on the other hand he/she should give the impression of professionalism, authority and neutrality.
Toda če je na eni strani voditelj poštenjak, dober človek, ki 'dela za nas' in pes čuvaj, pa mora po drugi strani dajati vtis popolne profesionalnosti, avtoritativnosti in nevtralnosti.

Difficult, unpleasant questions asked by the newspresenter-institution, only enhance his/her mediatory role, or even the role of the 'reporter- watchdog', caught between us, the viewers in our own private spheres, and public personalities, whom he/she controls instead of us.
Težka, neugodna vprašanja, ki jih voditelj institucija postavlja intervjuvancu, še bolj poudarjajo voditeljevo posredniško vlogo ali celo vlogo 'novinarja psa čuvaja', ujetega med nas gledalce v naši zasebni sferi in tiste druge na javnih funkcijah, ki jih tako nadzoruje namesto nas.

If on the one hand, the newsreaders are solid, honest people who 'work on our behalf', mediators and watchdogs, on the other hand they have to be constructed as capable, authoritarian, unbiased and trustworthy professionals.
Če so na eni strani bralci novic pošteni in dobri ljudje, ki 'delajo za nas', posredniki, psi čuvaji, morajo biti na drugi strani konstruirani kot kompetentni, avtoritarni, nepristranski in zaupanja vredni profesionalci.
