Letna poročila o izvajanju letnega programa statističnih raziskovanj, ki jih Statistični urad RS predloži Statističnemu svetu, in vmesna in končna poročila o izvajanju srednjeročnega programa, ki jih Statistični urad RS predloži Statističnemu svetu in Vladi Republike Slovenije, so pomembni dokumenti za uporabnike in poročevalske enote ter tudi vodstvena orodja za ves sistem.
Yearly reports on the execution of the annual programme of statistical surveys, which SORS submits to the Statistical Council, and interim and final reports on the execution of the medium-term programme of statistical surveys, which SORS submits to the Statistical Council and the Government, are important documents for the users and data providers as well as management tools for the whole system.

Poleg klasifikacij, predpisanih z uredbami vlade, uporablja državna statistika vrsto drugih klasifikacij, ki so predpisane kot statistični standard z metodološkimi navodili Za boljšo preglednost in uporabo klasifikacij je Statistični urad RS razvil tehnično rešitev v strežniku klasifikacij , imenovanem KLASJE .
In addition to classifications prescribed by Government decrees, national statistics uses other classifications prescribed as statistical standards with methodological guidelines. For better transparency and usage of classifications, SORS has developed the technical solution in the classification server named KLASJE .

Poleg teh nalog Zakon nalaga Statističnemu uradu RS obveznosti v zvezi s pravilnim tolmačenjem zbranih in obdelanih podatkov in odzivanje na primere naključne ali namerne nepravilne uporabe statističnih podatkov.
In addition to these tasks, the National Statistics Act imposes on SORS obligations connected with correct interpretation of collected and processed data and responding to cases of coincidental or intentional misuse of statistical data.
