Znanstveni odbor za prehrano v svojem mnenju o ohratoksinu A z dne 17. septembra 1998 meni, da bi bilo preudarno zmanjšati izpostavljenost ohratoksinu A kolikor je največ mogoče in zagotoviti, da se izpostavljenost zniža proti nižji skrajni meji sprejemljivih dnevnih vnosov od 1,2 do 14 ng/kg telesne mase/dan, ki so jih ocenila druga telesa, npr. pod 5 ng/kg telesne mase/dan.
The Scientific Committee for Food considered in its opinion on ochratoxin A of 17 September 1998 that it would be prudent to reduce exposure to ochratoxin A as much as possible, ensuring that exposures are towards the lower end of the range of tolerable daily intakes of 1,2-14 ng/kg bw/day which have been estimated by other bodies, e.g. below 5 ng/kg bw/day.
