If a Member State considers that imports of petroleum products refined in the Netherlands Antilles, made either directly or through another Member State under the system provided for in Article 2, are giving rise to real difficulties on its market and that immediate action is necessary to meet them, it may on its own initiative decide to apply customs duties to such imports, the rate of which may not exceed those of the customs duties applicable to third countries in respect of the same products.

na TV 3 so v samostojnih oddajah predstavljene vse večje parlamentarne stranke, v intervjujih pa nastopajo samo predstavniki desne politične usmeritve, ki se v predvolilni kampanji sklicujejo na krščanske vrednote; edina stranka, ki pa dejansko ni bila pripuščena k rezerviranemu soočenju na TV 3, kamor je sicer bila vabljena, je stranka ZLSD (v oddaji SDS/ZLSD), ker je poslala na oddajo krščanske socialiste, ki so koalicijski partner ZLSD, uredništvo TV 3 pa jih ni hotelo sprejeti in je zato v omenjenem soočenju nastopala samo SDS.
TV 3 presented all the larger parliamentary parties in individual broadcasts, while the interviews were held with the representatives of right political orientations who appealed to Christian values in their election campaign. The only party that in fact was not admitted onto TV 3, even though it had been invited, was the ZLSD. Actually, the party sent in its coalition partner instead, i.e. the Party of Christian Socialists, but the editorial board of TV 3 did not accept it, so only the SDS appeared on the broadcast reserved for the confrontation of the SDS and ZLSD.

On the same day, the participants at an election confrontation commented on a typical Mahnič-style statement that 'the one who is not Roman Catholic is not a Slovenian'. The Minister of Culture himself minimized the scandalousness of this statement because in his opinion what was much worse was some sports ad featured in the media at that time, which invited the supporters of the national football team to jump and cheer (TV 1, 27 September 2000).

The pages in our sample contained classical, or rather standard elements (once again the Greens of Slovenia were an exception) that include: the introductory page and slogans, the party's profile (the program, statute, leadership, regional lists), contact information, information on changes made to the pages, some form of interaction with the visitors (polls, the possibility of posting an opinion), links to other sites related to the elections, news about parties' activities, a calendar of pre-election confrontations, and photo-galleries.

Zato so se na tem radiu dejansko pojavljale samo 'pomladne' stranke NSi, SDS in SLS+skd in zato je na tem mediju volilni boj potekal 'v živo' samo med prvima dvema strankama na eni in SLS+SKD na drugi strani; pri tem ne gre pozabiti, da je ravno ta radio, kot rečeno, obdolžil nacionalno TV, da poskuša v svojih soočenjih razbiti pomladni blok. Vse druge stranke so bile na Radiu Ognjišče deležne samo negativnih komentarjev (brez izjeme), samo pozitivnih komentarjev pa sta bili deležni le NSi in SDS (brez izjeme).
Consequently, only 'Spring' parties such as the NSi, SDS and SLS+SKD appeared on this radio, so the live 'election contest' was staged between the first two parties mentioned on the one side, and the SLS+SKD on the other. Moreover, only the NSi and SDS received positive comments (without exception), while all other parties faced negative criticism (without exception). One should, however, keep in mind that it was precisely this radio station that accused the national TV stations of attempting to break down the 'Spring' bloc in its election broadcasts.

b Najostrejše očitke o politizaciji Cerkve zasledimo ravno v desno usmerjeni reviji Mag, ki izrecno trdi, da so nomenklaturne sile vzrok politizacije 'slovenske cerkve, ki je nenavadno vpletena v politične posle nomenklature in ki je njena zavestna žrtev', česar pa drugi mediji ne vidijo, ker so vsi 'zmanipulirani, tako kot srbski'; to po zagotovilih Maga dokazujejo tudi predvolilna soočenja na TV 3, na katera je ta cerkvena tv 'povabila samo ZLSD in LDS'; ravno ti dve stranki imata, zatrjuje Mag, 'v svojem programu izbris cerkve iz javnega življenja.
b Of all the media, the harshest criticism of the politization of the Church could be found exactly in the right-oriented Mag magazine. It explicitly asserted that the so called forces of nomenclature caused the politization of the 'Slovenian church, which is oddly involved in the political dealings of the nomenclature and is consciously its victim' but other media do not see this because they are all 'manipulated the same as Serbian media are'; according to Mag, this was confirmed by elections confrontations on TV 3, to which were 'invited the ZLSD and LDS only'. Precisely these two parties, claimed Mag, 'have in their programs the removal of the Church from public life.

Pri tovrstnih kritikah zasledimo tudi izrazito protislovne ocene, in to ravno pri istih akterjih, ki medije najbolj kritizirajo, npr.: ko Janša nastopa na TV Slovenija, izjavi, da 'je bila letošnja kampanja najbolj korektna doslej' in da je 'najbolj korekten elektronski medij v volilni kampanji prav TV Slovenija' (TV Slovenija, 13. 10. 2000); isto nacionalno TV razglasi cerkvena Družina za najbolj nekorektno, ker predvolilna soočenja potekajo 'v odsotnosti vsakršne politične vsebine', prav zato pa so gledalci 'prisiljeni ', da so priča 'neusmiljenega in neciviliziranega mesarskega klanja' (1. 10. 2000); predstavnik SLS+skd sodi, da so v medijih prihajali proti njim 'nizki udarci predvsem s strani SDS', kar si paradoksalno razlaga s tem, da 'je to morda bolj navijanje za LDS' (POP TV, 13. 10. 2000); v isti oddaji predstavnik vladne NSi izjavi, da so mediji 'izrazito bili proti desni opciji', na TV 3 pa predstavnik iste stranke zatrjuje, da je letošnja volilna kampanja 'manj agresivna od prejšnjih', in z njim se odločno strinja tudi predstavnik SLS+SKD, ki je v koalicijskem sporu z NSi in SDS (TV 3, 6.10. 2000).
There are some glaringly contradictory points contained in this criticism, particularly that expressed by protagonists who most criticized the media. For example, when Janez Janša appeared on TV Slovenia he stated that 'this year's campaign has been the most correct one so far', and that 'the most correct electronic medium in the election campaign is TV Slovenia' (TV Slovenia, 13 October 2000); the Church weekly Družina, on the other hand, proclaimed the same TV channel to be the most incorrect one, because election confrontations were allegedly held 'in the absence of political content' so the viewers were 'forced' to be the witnesses to 'ruthless and uncivilized butchery' (1 October 2000); the representative of the SLS+SKD thought that the media published 'low blows' against their party 'particularly coming from the SDS', giving the paradoxical explanation that this was probably due to their 'cheering for LDS' (POP TV, 13 October 2000); in the same broadcast the representative of the governmental party NSi stated that the media were 'expressly against the right option', another of its representatives on TV 3 asserted that the 2000 election campaign was 'less aggressive than previous ones', while the representative of the SLS+SKD, which was in a coalition dispute with the NSi and SDS, agreed wholeheartedly with this view (TV 3, 6 October 2000).
