It is appropriate to provide that, subject to the measures in force in the Community relating to double checking systems and to prior and retrospective Community surveillance of textile products on importation into the Community, binding tariff information issued by the customs authorities of Member States in respect of the classification of goods in the Combined Nomenclature and which is not in accordance with this Regulation, can continue to be invoked for a period of 60 days by the holder, under Article 12(6) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 of 12 October 1992 establishing the Community Customs Code(2).

As a result of the implementation of the recommendation of the Customs Cooperation Council of 18 June 1976 concerning the amendment of the nomenclature for the classification of goods in customs tariffs, and of certain autonomous changes to the Common Customs Tariff and the Icelandic Customs Tariff, adjustments should be made to the nomenclature of certain tariff specifications in the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Republic of Iceland signed on 22 July 1972.

'As a result of the implementation of the recommendation of the Customs Cooperation Council of 18 June 1976 concerning the amendment of the nomenclature for the classification of goods in customs tariffs, and of certain autonomous changes to the Common Customs Tariff and the Icelandic Customs Tariff, adjustments should be made to the nomenclature of certain tariff specifications in the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Republic of Iceland signed on 22 July 1972.

(2) To make easier the distinction between products to be classified under heading 2103 and products falling within Chapter 20, Commission Regulation (EC) No 288/97 of 17 February 1997 amending Annex I to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 on the tariff and statistical nomenclature and on the Common Customs Tariff and repealing a number of regulations on classification fn inserted additional note 1 to Chapter 21 of the Combined Nomenclature.

(4) It is appropriate to provide that binding tariff information issued by the customs authorities of Member States in respect of the classification of goods in the Combined Nomenclature and which is not in accordance with this Regulation, can, for a period of three months, continue to be invoked by the holder, pursuant to Article 12(6) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 of 12 October 1992 establishing the Community Customs Code(3), as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 2700/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council(4).

As a result of the implementation with effect from 1 January 1978 of the recommendation of the Customs Cooperation Council of 18 June 1976 concerning the amendment of the nomenclature for the classification of goods in Customs Tariffs, and of certain autonomous changes to the Common Customs Tariff and the Swiss Customs Tariff, adjustments should be made to the nomenclature of certain tariff specifications in the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Swiss Confederation signed on 22 July 1972.

'As a result of the implementation with effect from 1 January 1978 of the recommendation of the Customs Cooperation Council of 18 June 1976 concerning the amendment of the nomenclature for the classification of goods in Customs Tariffs, and of certain autonomous changes to the Common Customs Tariff and the Swiss Customs Tariff, adjustments should be made to the nomenclature of certain tariff specifications in the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Swiss Confederation signed on 22 July 1972.

(4) It is appropriate to provide that binding tariff information issued by the customs authorities of Member States in respect of the classification of goods in the Combined Nomenclature and which is not in accordance with this Regulation, can continue to be invoked by the holder for a period of three months, under Article 12(6) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 of 12 October 1992 establishing the Community Customs Code( fn ), as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 2700/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council( fn ).
