AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE UNITED NATIONS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA AND AN ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENT WITH REGARD TO SPECIAL PURPOSE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND

The rules governing such arrangements shall be determined by the Management Board acting by a majority of two thirds of its members.

While the Organization will not as a general rule claim exemption from excise duties and from taxes on the sale of movable and immovable property which form part of the price to be paid, nevertheless, when the Organization is making important purchases for official use of property on which such duties and taxes have been charged or are chargeable, Member States will whenever possible make the appropriate administrative arrangements for the remission or return of the amount of duty or tax.

Administrative arrangements, as deemed necessary in relation to the implementation of any provision of this Article, shall be a matter for agreement between the Members concerned.

The administrative implementation of the participation of Europol officials in a joint investigation team shall be laid down in an arrangement between the Director of Europol and the competent authorities of the Member States participating in the joint investigation team, with the involvement of the National Units.

The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties may decide on the secondment, for limited or unlimited periods, of liaison officers of a Contracting Party to the competent services of another Contracting Party in order to provide mutual support in the execution of administrative assistance.

11.3 Members shall, if requested, take such reasonable measures as may be available to them to arrange for the regulatory bodies within their territories to advise other Members, especially the developing country Members, and shall grant them technical assistance on mutually agreed terms and conditions regarding:

For the Contracting parties transfrontier co-operation shall mean any agreed administrative, technical, economic, social or cultural actions designed to reinforce and develop good neighbourly relations between the regions on both sides of the frontier and to solve any issues which may arise in this region.

Considering that the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, done at Strasbourg on 25 January 1988 (hereinafter ` the Convention` ), was concluded before agreement was reached on the internationally agreed standard to exchange information in tax matters;

Nevertheless, when the Tribunal for its official use makes major purchases of property and goods or services on which duties and taxes are charged or are chargeable, States Parties shall make appropriate administrative arrangements for the exemption of such charges or reimbursement of the amount of duty and/or tax paid.

The Organisation may, on a decision of the Administrative Council, conclude with one or more Contracting States complementary agreements to give effect to the provisions of this Protocol as regards such State or States, and other arrangements to ensure the efficient functioning of the Organisation and the safeguarding of its interests.
