V sklopu prenove in dopolnitve opreme v Zgodovinskem inštitutu bo Republika Slovenija podprla nabavo nove opreme s sodobno informacijsko tehnologijo, skladno s standardi COBISS, kar bo prispevalo h kakovostnim delovnim razmeram z namenom zaščite knjižničnega in arhivskega gradiva.

(2) Prvi odstavek tega člena se ne uporablja za opredmeteno premično državno premoženje in je velikega pomena za kulturno dediščino ene od držav naslednic in je po izvoru z ozemlja te države, kot so umetniška dela, rokopisi, knjige in drugi predmeti umetniškega, zgodovinskega ali arheološkega pomena za to državo in znanstvene zbirke ter pomembne zbirke knjig ali arhivov, ki preidejo na to državo.
(2) Paragraph (1) of this Article does not apply to tangible movable State property of great importance to the cultural heritage of one of the successor States and which originated from the territory of that State, such as: works of art; manuscripts, books and other objects of artistic, historical or archaeological interest to that State; and scientific collections and important collections of books or archives which shall pass to that State.

Zato vsaka institucija Evropske skupnosti in Evropske skupnosti za atomsko energijo kakor tudi Evropski ekonomsko-socialni odbor, Odbor regij, agencije in podobni organi, ki jih je ustanovil zakonodajalec (v nadaljnjem besedilu institucije), ustanovijo svoje zgodovinske arhive in jih odprejo za javnost pod pogoji, predvidenimi s to uredbo, po poteku obdobja 30 let, ki se začne z datumom nastanka dokumenta.
To that end, each institution of the European Community and of the European Atomic Energy Community, as well as the European Economic and Social Committee, the Committee of Regions, agencies and similar bodies set up by the legislator (hereinafter referred to as the institutions) shall establish its historical archives and open them to the public on the terms provided for by this Regulation after the expiry of a period of 30 years starting from the date of the creation of the document.
