Definicija: The Commission shall represent the Community within the 'Agriculture` Sub-committee for questions covered by the Protocol concerning sanitary, phytosanitary and animal welfare measures in relation to trade.

Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in implementing the action plan aimed at contributing towards ensuring a high level of health protection in relation to rare diseases by providing knowledge about these diseases by promoting and strengthening patient support groups and by fostering the setting-up of cluster response teams.

Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in adjusting the amounts of the minimum compensation to be paid by the carrier denying boarding to the passangers concerned.

Definicija: The Advisory Committee assists the Commission in the implementation of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2830/77 of 12 December 1977 on the measures necessary to achieve comparability between the accounting systems and annual accounts of railway undertakings. It gives its opinion on any question relating to the problems and solution connected with improving the comparability of the transposed annual accounts of railway undertakings and making progress towards greater harmonization of their accounting systems.

Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in implemeting the COMETT programme.The Commission may consult the committee on any matter concerning the implementation of the COMETT programme. The committee shall deliver opinions on the following points: (a) the general guidelines governing the COMETT programme; the general guidelines for the financial assistance to be provided by the Community (amounts, duration and recipients of assistance);questions concerning the general balance of the COMETT programme, including a breakdown of the various types of action; (b) the procedure for selecting the various types of project described in the Annex; any measures which require a Community contribution of more than 100 000 ECU.

Definicija: The Committee delivers its opinion on a draft of the measures aimed at approximating the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States and at protecting human health and the environment: - when carrying out the deliberate release of genetically modified organisms into the environment, - when placing on the market products containing, or consisting of, genetically modified organisms intended for subsequent deliberate release into the environment.

Definicija: The terms of reference of the Committee shall be as follows: 1. to advise the Commission on all problems concerning the implementation of Community measures for the control and reduction of pollution caused by oil and other harmful substances discharged at sea; 2. to allow the collection of existing information and experience gained in the Member States, on ways of controlling and reducing pollution caused by oil and other harmful substances discharged at sea, thus facilitating the coordination of measures taken or planned at national, international or Community level.
