Definicija: The Advisory Committee shall be consulted by the Commission prior to any decision with reference to possible infringements of Articles 85 or 86 of the Treaty, and also prior to any decision concerning the renewal, amendment or revocation of a decision pursuant to Article 85 (3) of the Treaty.

Definicija: The Advisory Committee is empowered to examine general questions or questions of principle and problems arising from the implementation of the Regulations adopted within the framework of the provisions of Article 51 of the Treaty (i.e. measures in the field of social security as are necessary to provide freedom of movement for workers) and to formulate opinions on the subject for the Administrative Commission and proposals for any revision of the Regulations.

Definicija: The Committe gives its opinion on the draft of the measures to be taken, concerning the quality of water intended for human consumption.

Definicija: The Committee shall deliver opinions on draft Commission decisions concerning the Community support frameworks under Objective 1, i.e. promoting the development and structural adjustment of the regions whose development is lagging behind, and the single programming documents under Objective 2, i.e. converting the regions, frontier regions or parts of regions (including employment areas and urban communities) seriously affected by industrial decline, and on the drawing-up and revision of the list of areas eligible under Objective 2.

Definicija: The Committee delivers its opinion on a draft of the measures to be taken under Regulation No 79/65/EEC of the Council of 15 June 1965 setting up a network for the collection of accountancy data on the incomes and business operation of agricultural holdings in the European Economic Community. It is further consulted: (a) for the purpose of verifying that the selection of relevant returning holdings has been carried out properly; (b) for the purpose of analysing and evaluating the accountancy data furnished by the data network, while having regard in particular to data deriving inter alia from farm accounts and statistics generally and from national accounts.

Definicija: The Committee delivers its opinion on a draft of the measures aimed at fixing a limit value for nitrogen dioxide in the atmosphere, and laying down guide values for nitrogen dioxide in the atmosphere.
