Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in implementing the 'Culture 2000' programme, which contributes to the promotion of a cultural area common to the European people, supporting cooperation between creative artists, cultural operators and the cultural institutions of the Member States.

Definicija: The function of the contact committee is: (a) to facilitate harmonized implementation of Council Directive 91/308/EEC of 10 June 1991 on prevention of the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering through regular consultation on any practical problems arising from its application and on which exchanges of view are deemed useful; (b) to facilitate consultation between the Member States on the more stringent or additional conditions and obligations which they may lay down at national level; (c) to advise the Commission, if necessary, on any supplements or amendments to be made to the above Directive or on any adjustments deemed necessary.

It may examine, and give an opinion on, all questions concerning the operation of Regulation (EEC) No 1107/70 and of all other provisions governing the granting of aids in the transport sector.
