Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in implementing the programme with the objective to promote the development of production projects aimed at the European and world market, to develop production projects that make use of new creative techniques; the programme is also aimed at encouraging European distributors to invest in cinema film production and to set up cross-border structures to distribute the films, encouraging television companies to cooperate in investing in the production of works aimed at the European and world market and to set up cross-border structures to transmit those works, supporting linguistic diversity of programmes, stimulating access to commercial events promoting European productions.

Definicija: The advisory committee assists the Commission in drawing up documents relating to cabotage transport operations in the form of occasional services and advises the Commission on relevant safeguard measures. The above operations may be performed by any carrier who - is established in a Member State, hereinafter referred to as the "Member State of establishment' in accordance with its legislation , and - is authorized, in that State, in accordance with relevant Community law, to pursue the occupation of road passenger transport operator in international transport operations.

Definicija: The Committee delivers opinions on the following points: (a) - general guidelines for the Community activities involving the renewal and rationalisation of Community action concerning analysis, research and exchange of information and experience in the field of employment and the labour market - the annual programme of work and matters concerning the financial breakdown of the above activities; (b) - detailed rules for selecting activities supported by the Community, the criteria for monitoring and assessing such activities individually and as a whole and the procedure for disseminating and transferring the results.

Definicija: The Committee delivers its opinion on a draft of the measures aimed at approximating the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States and at protecting human health and the environment: - when carrying out the deliberate release of genetically modified organisms into the environment, - when placing on the market products containing, or consisting of, genetically modified organisms intended for subsequent deliberate release into the environment.

Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in implementing the programme to support and supplement the policies and activities of the Member States aimed at ensuring that all young people in the Community who so wish receive one or two or more years' initial vocational training in addition to their full-time compulsory education, leading to a vocational qualification recognized by the competent authorities of the Member State in which it is obtained, and delivers its opinion on a draft of the measures relating to this programme.
