Definicija: The Committee delivers its opinion on the draft of the measures to be taken under the Directive concerning methods for the quantitative analysis of certain binary textile fibre mixtures, including the preparation of test samples and test specimens.

Definicija: The Committee assist the Commission in the implementation of Commission Decision No 2136/97/ECSC of 12 September 1997 on administering certain restrictions on imports of certain steel products from the Russian Federation and delivers its opinion on the draft of the measures to be taken.

Definicija: The Rome Convention of 1980 on the law applicable to contractual obligations unifies the rules of private international law of Member States concerning the determination of which law governs a contract. The basic principle is that of the freedom of choice of the parties to the contract to determine which law shall govern their contractual relations. The choice may be express or be implied. In the absence of choice by the parties the law governing the contract is that of the country with which the contract is most closely connected. The Convention lays down some factors which enable this law to be identified.

Definicija: The Committee was set up by Council Regulation (EEC) No 339/93 of 8 February 1993 on checks for conformity with the rules on product safety in the case of products imported from third countries. The representative of the Commission shall submit to the committee the draft measures drawing up - or amending - a list of the products or product categories which are not accompanied by a document or not market in accordance with the Community or national rules on product safety applicable in the Member State in which release for free circulation is sought. The committee shall deliver its opinion on the draft.
