Definicija: In 1957 Article 119 of the Treaty of Rome established the principle of equal pay for men and women doing equal work. After 1975 a series of directives extended the principle to equal treatment as regard access to employment, training, promotion and working conditions, so as to remove all forms of discrimination at work.
