Definicija: The Committee assists the Commission in preparing the summary report on the implemetation of Council Directive 92/3/Euratom of 3 February 1992, and standard documents for applications for authorization for carrying out of shipments of radioactive waste, applications for granting approval, and for acknoweledgement of receipt of radioactive waste. The Committee further assists the Commission in establishing criteria enabling Member States to evaluate whether the requirements for exports of radioactive waste are met.

Definicija: Within the Committee, the consultations on (a) on questions concerning shipping matters and dealt with in international organizations; and (b) on relations with third countries in shipping matters, and on the negotiation, conclusion and functioning of bilateral or multilateral agreements in this sphere take place. The Committee further delivers its opinion on a draft of the measures to be taken in this regard.
