Definicija: Intergovernmental conference for coordination in the field of post and telecommunications services. Technical role with regard to standardization (1). Membership of CEPT is made up of National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs), and encompasses the twelve EU Member States and most other European countries, including the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Following these recent reforms, CEPT's activities are now divided between: the ERC (q.v.) and ECTRA (q.v.) dealing with telecommunications; CERP (the European Committee for Postal Regulation) dealing with postal affairs (2).
