Definicija: The Brussels Convention of 1968 on jurisdiction and the enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters lays down rules on jurisdiction in legal proceedings concerning civil and commercial matters. It ensures that judgments given by the courts of the Member States are recognized throughout the whole Community and sets up a mechanism to help judgments given in one contracting state to be enforced in another.
