Especially should the inventory aim to detect any changes in the forest conditions, but it should also provide the distribution of the forest damages and find out any relation with site and stand conditions.

Definicija: Raziskava gozdnatega območja, s katero naj bi ugotovili obseg škode v gozdovih. Popis naj bi prikazal celovito stanje gozdnih površin. Popis naj ne bi zajel le sprememb na gozdnih površinah, ampak tudi porazdelitev poškodb na gozdnih površinah in raziskal vzroke za tako stanje.
